Categories

Each Task, Log Entry or Milestone is associated with category - this is to assist your team when:
  • allocating tasks as they are created
  • sorting, filtering and searching by live tasks
  • post-event reporting to aid future planning.

Each event has its own independent list of categories - you can create them individually using the built-in builder tool, or you can import your categories using our free spreadsheet tools.

Using the builder-tool

Click on the category icon on the right hand side of the planning window (the green luggage tag) to fly out the right hand column and add your categories one at a time using the input box.

You can check your categories at any time using the Eye logo to 'View all Categories'

You can also import a list of categories using the .csv template, and export existing lists from your other events.

To import from a file, click on the right hand menu and choose Import categories from CSV Your file must be in the correct format - you can download the template file to help you.

To export your existing categories in the standard format, click on the eye logo to view your categories, and then export them to your computer as a .csv file.

Categories are unlimited, but it is best to keep as few as you actually need (otherwise your reports can be vary large, and very few records are assigned to any one category)

Categories can be added at any time in live mode as well, but it is best to add them as early as possible during the event to ensure accurate reporting.
