Linked logs

During a busy event with information coming in from multiple sources, it is often easy to create 2 references to the same task, eg:

• Security report that there is water running under the mainstage pit barrier from stage left side - logged and actioned to facilities team
• Catering report power outage to their freezer unit in the backstage catering area - logged and actioned to electricians

  Which later turns out to be one and the same issue (power outage causing freezer to defrost / leak)

Instead of updating both records, you can simply link them together:

• Choose the log you want to continue working on and copy (right click) its log ID number;
• In the log you want to stop working on, create a new sub-log;
• In that sub-log type “Linked to [paste]” and the system will create a clickable link between the duplicated log and the live one

  (For absolute continuity you can also create a link in the other direction by pasting the ‘old’ log’s ID into a sub-log in the ‘current’ log)
